2011 Worcester Arts Council Fellowship Recipient – one of two fellowships awarded by the city every year to support the efforts of resident artists.

MASS L.E.A.P. – (Massachusetts Literary Education & Performance) a program of the MASS POETRY OUTREACH PROJECT 501(c)3 Non-Profit – Co-Founder & Managing Director – Jan ’11 – Present. Responsible for introducing students to the art of performance poetry through school residencies, teaching artist institute and the annual Louder than a Bomb Massachusetts Youth Poetry Slam Festival. Worcester Youth Poetry Slam Teams 2004-2011 – organized, raised money, coached and chaperoned teens to Brave New Voices Festival in Chicago, Los Angeles & San Francisco respectively.

Worcester County Young Writers Conference St. John’s High School April ’08-present – Poetry Mentor. Workshop & Performances for this annual day long conference.

Assabet Valley Regional High School, Marlboro, 2009-present – Organized & hosted school assembly poetry slam showcase for over 300 students.

Clark University – Fall ’08-Present – Hosted, booked & promoted monthly youth & college poetry slam series. Supported by Worcester Arts Council Grant in 2010.

First Night Worcester – New Years Eve ”08 & 09 – Organized & Hosted Youth Poetry Showcase as part of Worcester County Poetry Association Event.

Individual World Poetry Slam (I.W.P.S.) – Dec. ’08 – Worcester Representative for Tournament in Charlotte NC, competing against over 70 poets.

2008 Worcester Youth Poetry Slam Team –July ’08 – chaperoned team of 6 teens to Brave New Voices Festival in Washington DC (featured on HBO documentary series.)

FETCH”2007 –WGBH produced youth television program, syndicated nationally on PBS – guest appearance as “Poetry Mentor” for Season #2 Episode.

2007 Worcester Youth Poetry Slam TeamCoach / Chaperoned 4 teens to San Jose, California for Brave New Voices Festival.

Worcester County Poetry Association –featured at annual meeting, invited to serve on Board of Directors, Fall ’07-present.

Worcester Public Library – Organized and presented youth poetry demo slam showcases, sponsored by Youth Action Council ’04-’07

Speakout! Youth Poetry Slam Series, Fall ’03-Spring ’05 – Organized, booked & hosted youth poetry slam series and reading with Worcester Artists Group in Sprinkler Factory Gallery Space.

2003 Providence Poetry Slam Team –Competed at 2003 National Poetry Slam in Chicago, IL, reaching semi-finals & placing 5thout of 70 teams nationally.

HAMPSHIRE COLLEGE SPOKEN WORD FESTIVAL Sept. ’02, kicked off two day festival alongside SKINT, rock, jazz, spoken word fusion ensemble.

2002 Boston Cantab Lounge Poetry Slam TeamCompeted at 2002 National Poetry Slam in Minneapolis, MN.

2001 Worcester Poetry Slam Team –Alternate for 2001 National Poetry Slam in Seattle, Washington.

ABBEY THEATER SUMMER WORKSHOP –summer 1996, studied abroad through Boston College Program in Dublin Ireland, 5 week play writing, acting & Irish Theater History intensive program facilitated by Tony Award Winning Director Thomas McKenna at Ireland’s National Theater.
